Realtek established the Supplier Code of Conduct in line with the RBA Code of Conduct and referencing the UN’s Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the International Labor Office’s Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Goals included ensuring safe work environments for supply chain partners, guaranteeing that workers receive the respect they deserve, and ensuring that commercial enterprises adhere to environmental standards and comply with ethical and moral standards. Suppliers must adhere to the Supplier Code of Conduct and incorporate it into five main areas of their company: labor, health and safety, environment, business ethics, and management systems. They also shall fully comply with the laws and regulations of the countries or regions in which they operate. Besides strengthening sustainable management of our existing suppliers, Realtek requires that all new suppliers sign the Supplier Code of Conduct, the RBA Code of Conduct, and a declaration of conflict free minerals, so that we can effectively manage a responsible supply chain.
